I should have included this question:

Is raping women over a 10 year period considered WILLFUL sin?

Boatbums says: No matter what you do, you cannot be unsaved. You are sealed. Yes, God will discipline and chastise His children but in the end everyone gets into heaven.

Matthew 7
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

INIQUITY = SIN.

Hebrews 10
26For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

SIN WILLFULLY

We're all tempted to sin Phil. And we all do that even as Born Again Christians. I don't see anyone really saying once your saved you never sin again, rather that Jesus's blood covers our sin when we do......willful or not. That we have the assurance of our salvation regardless of our failures. Because God sees Jesus righteous life in us....

John 1:12-13 tells us ......" to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."

And further...Galatians 4:6-7 tells us....."And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."

So therefore as is written....." it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put 'his seal on us' AND given us 'his Spirit' in our hearts as a Guarantee"....2 Corinthians 1:21-22... So there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus".....Romans 8:1

Sounds like it to me. Of course you don't know if that was the case with Ravi - whom you are strangely obsessed with. Are you willing to let God deal with him or does He need your help?

Boatbums says: No matter what you do, you cannot be unsaved. You are sealed. Yes, God will discipline and chastise His children but in the end everyone gets into heaven.

No, that's NOT what I said. Go back and reread my reply. Your obtuseness is tiresome and the only reason I am replying to your posts now are for the benefit of others who may be reading this thread. You may be too hardhearted to understand the depths of God's grace.

Matthew 7 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. INIQUITY = SIN.

Jesus is talking to the religious Pharisees who counted on their own righteousness to save them. Kinda like SDA and other works-based religions who boast of their mighty works and personal holiness. If they were justified by works, they have something to boast about - but not before God. This sounds like you, Phil.

Hebrews 10 26For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. SIN WILLFULLY

You sure you want to run with this interpretation? "There remaineth no more sacrifice for sins" means you sin even one time and you're hell-bound, do not pass GO, do not collect $200. There's nothing in there about repentance and confession. I've got news for you, Phil, we ALL sin willfully. Nobody has total victory over the old sin nature until they go to be with Christ. Some do better than others on this part but as long as we are human, we will have to deal with our sinful inclinations. It is a process of sanctification. We mess up, we get convicted by the Holy Spirit, we feel badly, we confess it to God, we thank Him for His forgiveness and He cleanses us from all unrighteousness, then we grow in our faith. Your interpretation leaves no room for this process. One bad act and ***POOF*** you're done - adios, goodbye, sayonara. Thankfully, that's NOT what God is saying.
