Phil: "Salvation is the most serious of subjects."

Working your way to the lake of fire is indeed extremely serious. Just keep depending upon your work to obtain and or retain and you will find out just how serious Salvation by faith alone in Christ alone really is.

So far, you exhibit a determination to reject salvation by faith alone in Christ alone, playing a game of saved by you must work to retain that which you could not do to start with.

That 'grace plus' lie, THAT is the deep deception in grained by your seventh day Adventist cult. It makes you incapable of seeing that your profession is a lie; ONLY faith brings God's work on your behalf. Reject His means to Salvation and there is not one single or any multiples of any works which will prevent you being plunged into the lake of fire at the beginning of the millennium.

You won't even make it to the Great White Throne of Judgment at the end of the millennium if you keep rejecting the Gospel of Grace alone by faith alone in Christ alone.

Works, commandments, law, obedience are anathema to you, aren’t they? You are a scoffer. I guess your faith is a dead faith.

14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

MHGinTN: “Sin is for unsaved suckers. I’ve got the Holy Spirit in me and I can’t sin” (I’m paraphrasing, of course)

Amen, MHG.

I have to admit that it’s kind of frightening to read some of the posts on this thread. The very eternal salvation of people’s souls is at stake and no one seems to be able to penetrate the wall of some kind of salvation by works which is absolutely contrary to God’s plan of salvation by grace. There is no other plan for us unless some are hoping to make it through the great tribulation and then keep all the commandments. I wouldn’t attempt it nor advise it.
