May the Lord make His peace to come upon you and give you rest from what is assaulting your soul.

In other words you have no answer.

Phil, stop trying to pl;ay gotcha. Yhe passage you cite was a scene among Jews while Jesus was still offering the Kingdom to begin had they accepted Him. Under JEWISH strictures, if one could keep the commandments without failing in even one ... well, you know that line of reasoning, we have shared it with you several times. Do you think the young man could keep all the commandments? The way you answer that will reveal a lot of what is causing you to stumble, spiritually.

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

2 Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, beloved, since we have these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that defiles body and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 5:1
Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,

And there are many, many other related texts.

John says there are true Moses like prophets in the last days. Does it matter to the fake believers that they don’t actually know any? Nope. Does it matter that God hasn’t spoken to any of their leaders in 2000 years?

The church won't be here in the last days...
However, we have the sure word of prophecy, the scriptures...
What else could we need???

Every rationalization always comes back to the same thing, they don’t have to do anything. Jesus Himself said every person that actually enters the kingdom of God will have to be as a little child here on earth. Humble, meek, forgiving, full of truth, repentant... there’s no getting around that for any human being. But the fake believers say all you have to do is believe. Even though Jesus said otherwise... it doesn’t matter to them.

Luk 18:9  And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

Luk 18:10  Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luk 18:11  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Well there you go...That's you...Doing right and good in the sight of God...Worthy of the reward...

Here's me and the other born again Christians:

Luk 18:13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

'God be merciful to me, a sinner'....The sinner's prayer...We've done nothing to please God or to merit any rewards...In your eyes we are condemned to hell...

Luk 18:14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I'll trust in the sinner's prayer...

I try to show Christ every day that I’m trying, by showing my obedience to Him for what he did for me on the cross. The problem with Christians today is that they don’t feel obligated to keep his commandments because the believe in once saved, always saved. Big mistake on their part (your part).

We will all be judged by his law. You can bet the farm on it.

Romans 2
11For there is no respect of persons with God.

12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

No, more like this:

Phil: Loves God and keeps his commandments and remains in his love.

Iscool: Says he loves God but doesn’t keep his commandments because he was taught once saved, always saved. According to Christ, Iscool is a liar.

The moral of the story is don’t be a liar. Keep the Commandments of God.

Phil, go to bed. You are rambling and almost incoherent. You are not the audience Paul addressed, you are not a Hebrew. If you imagine yourself to be a Christian then ALL your sin was judged at the Cross. ALL. ‘There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Please, Phil, read the entire letter to the Galatians, tonight, then sleep on it.

31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (Only Phil agrees)

Nope...YOU don't get it...The law IS established...It is our schoolmaster...

How are your sins atoned for when you violate the Law??? And don't say you don't because you would be a liar???

We show our love to God by keeping his commandments.

Nope again...We can love God without keeping all his commandments...In fact, we don't keep his commandments...We can't...We're not capable...That's why Jesus died...So he could pay the price instead of us...
One thing Jesus did was to give us a conscious knowledge to know when we broke the law...He put the law on our hearts...So that hopefully we can feel remorse and ask for his forgiveness...

Saved by grace (faith alone), THEN, judged by the law/works. That is what the bible teaches.

Jesus was already judged by the law for us so we wouldn't have to be...Because he knew we would fail at the judgment...

Saved by grace (faith alone), THEN, judged by the law/works. That is what the bible teaches.

Yes it does, in certain places, when addressing the Jews...But in Romans chapter 3 God switched that around...You ever read Romans 2 and 3???

Whoever gets judged by the law ends up in outer darkness...

No one passes that test, except Jesus...

You mean you don’t believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Because the “Catholic Trinity” as you describe it is the same belief held by Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Anglicans, Presbyterians etc.

Rev 22
7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

1 Pet 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

James 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Eccl 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Eccl 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Who will be judged?

Psa 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Eccl 3:17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Acts 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick [living] and dead.

2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick [living] and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Answer: Everyone, both the righteous and wicked, the living and dead, will be judged.

What will be the standard of Judgment?

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Answer: The 10 commandments of God are the standard of judgment.

True, if you end up on the short end of the stick. If you honestly believe in Jesus Christ as your savior and obey him, you probably have nothing to worry about. There’s that word again, OBEY.

Are you CAPABLE of not committing murder?
Are you CAPABLE of not committing adultery?
Are you CAPABLE of not making any graven image or bowing down to them?
Are you CAPABLE of not taking the Lord’s name in vain?
Are you CAPABLE of not having any other gods before Him?
Are you CAPABLE of not stealing?
Are you CAPABLE of not bearing false witness?
Are you CAPABLE of honoring your father and mother?
Are you CAPABLE of coveting your neighbor’s stuff?
Are you CAPABLE of keeping the 7th day Sabbath? (people “like you” hate this one)

Are you CAPABLE of not being in this group: 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. ???

Are you CAPABLE of not practicing homosexuality?

ETC, ETC, ETC...

You are telling God that you are TRULY NOT CAPABLE of keeping his commandments?

Matthew 7:13
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Luke 13
22And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

23Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

24Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

25When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

27But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

ALL YE WORKERS OF INIQUITY....that’s sin.

Iscool to God: “But I was told I wasn’t CAPABLE of keeping your commandments.”
