The Jesuits are politically suspect anyway. Of course they are for the underdog, but their definition of just who the “underdog” really is, gets a little convoluted at times.

The quality of mercy gets badly skewed on occasion, to add to the other strains it must be subject to.

jesuits are the heart and soul of the social justice movement. In fact, they may have come up with the term. jesuit educated here.
