To: Hebrews 11:6
Daniel 5:17 Then Daniel answered the king, “You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Nevertheless, I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means. Daniel 5:21 "He was also driven away from mankind, and his heart was made like that of beasts, and his dwelling place was with the wild donkeys. He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he recognized that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind, and that He sets over it whomever He wishes.
I have been telling my wife and others that all of this is the "...finger of God...." because of the sins of the nation. I am reminded of Genghis Khan's famous quote:

“I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.”

(Freedom is the freedom to discipline yourself so others don't have to do it for you.)

Nebuchadnezzar was, as Khan asserted, God's appointed instrument for exacting punishment. Like Khan, he assumed self-righteously that he deserved that "honor." He, like Khan most assuredly, found out differently.
