Will The Catholic Church Pass the Joe Biden Test?

Will The Catholic Church Pass the Joe Biden Test?

The U.S. bishops’ collaboration with the new administration on areas of common ground cannot be accompanied by actions that spread confusion over Catholic teaching in other areas.

When Joe Biden took the oath of office on Jan. 20, he became only the second Catholic president in U.S. history. The first, John F. Kennedy, was frequently and famously questioned over whether he was, in fact, a servant of the pope.

With Biden, a different question must be asked, one that is focused less on the commander-in-chief and more on the Church: How will the Catholic hierarchy treat a president who rejects aspects of Catholic moral teaching?

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is striving to provide the answer. In the wake of the election, Archbishop José Gomez, the USCCB’s president, stated that Biden’s policy positions create a “difficult and complex situation.” While professing to be Catholic, Biden has pledged to advance distinctly un-Catholic policies on religious freedom, human sexuality and abortion, including pledging to make Roe v. Wade“the law of the land.” Archbishop Gomez subsequently established a special working group of bishops tasked with coordinating the Church’s interaction with — and stance toward — Biden and his administration.

Yet the hope of coordination is already fading.

On Inauguration Day, the USCCB issued a strong statement expressing hope that Biden reverses his immoral plans to expand abortion. Shockingly, one of the bishops’ conference’s own members, Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago, responded by condemning the statement and not Biden’s policy positions. This sends a message of confusion and contradiction on a clear moral issue.

Biden has no moral issues with his son collecting bribes and selling his office, so calling the “Big Guy” a catholic is a joke.

There’s no right or wrong with this Marxist thug.

60+% of Catholics still vote Democrat! If you vote for abortion and sodomy and take God out of your platform, no one can argue they are a Christian anymore. Romans 1:32 says if you agree with the sin you have committed the sin even if you don't do the sin.

It's gotten down to the point that you can be a Christian or a Dem, but not both. They are choosing politics over God.

It happens all the time in South America. They would have a revolution and the nuns and priests would side with the Marxists (usually Jesuits). They would side with the same people that cut off heads and stuck them on a fence post, sell drugs for weapons, and worse.

You just have to ask yourself how many Catholic Democrats can there be before you start asking what they are listening to in church? Pelosi, Cuomo, Biden, Any Kennedy, Kerry, and a mountain of others are just NOT Christians. Just look at Boston. They are mostly Catholic, yet vote Dem for even dog catcher. They would rather kill babies than do anything God commands them to do.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) released a statement on Biden’s inauguration day
in which it warned that Biden’s pledge to pursue anti-life and anti-family policies
would advance “moral evils” in the areas of “abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.”

Oh, Really? China Joe Potato Head Biden has blatantly violated Catholic precepts for 40+ years,
and you sniff and prate about "warnings?"

Heaven forbid that you should threaten excommunication, or at least withhold communion.
Therefore, Nancy and Joe expediently advance abortion and anti-family legislation promoting 'gender fluidity.'

Why should any Catholic find your pronouncements worth a sh**?

The Catholic Church has already miserably failed the Biden test and will now suffer the monumental fallout of the intense rejection by millions of their church members who will ignore the admonitions of the Catholic Clergy and will stop donations to an apostate Church. Bet on it!

It seems the Catholic Church is determined to go the way of Catholicism in Europe and Episcopalianism in America.

Doesn’t Abp Gomez statement confirm that Biden is Latae S. excommunicated (due to using his power to promote abortion)? Also would apply to Pelosi? Therefore, how could they go to Communion on Wed?

In a word?

They’ll swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

The real question:

How many more children in the uterus get killed before Catholics leave the church that winks while saying how bad abortion is for the life and soul?

Excuses, excuses. I know. I used them, as well.....
