So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Christians, we came to Jesus believing He is our Savior; yet, when the winds of current events become "boisterous" and seemingly out of control - our fearful thoughts of a dangerous future can cause us to sink in despair.

What is the remedy for despair? Faith! Cry out to Jesus: "Lord, save me!"

Remember, the future is not designed for our purposes, but for the purpose of our Lord. "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails." [Proverbs 19:21]

Bottom line: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." [Deuteronomy 31:6]
