Because we who are here praying have been born of your Holy Spirit we love truth. We are horrified at the lies that are being broadcast and believed all over our nation and the world. You told us this would happen, but we had no idea it could get this bad this fast. We confess some of us have stumbled and become depressed in this darkness. Help us, O our Help from ages past. Help us to turn to the truth of your word, to read it, to pray it, to sing it, to share it. Help us to turn to the Truth who is your Son, in praise, in prayer, in fellowship. Help us to build one another up in our most holy faith. Help us to wear the belt of truth and all of the armor you have provided for us. We have definitely been more like sheep than like warriors, Jesus, and we ask your forgiveness.
You said to the Church at Philadelphia, “I know how weak you are, but you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” We admit our weakness, Father. We beg of you, let us keep your word and never, ever, not EVER deny your name. We are asking for the strength to stand against this present evil. The lies are coming after us. No matter what we are faced with, please, dear Lord, let us remain faithful to our Savior Christ.
We ask that those who have believed the lies would be given eyes to see and ears to hear, which are gifts only you can bestow. Those who are propagating the lies may never change - we would be very surprised at their repentance - but, Lord, there are so, so many who have just been led astray. I have dozens of friends and family members who go along to get along, who would rather swallow a camel-sized lie than to stand out from the crowd. Father, please take away their fear of man. Your word says fear of man is a snare. So many of our loved ones are caught in that terrible snare tonight. Please set them free. Please shine the light of truth into the dark minds of unbelievers. Please increase your kingdom greatly in these last days.
Enable us to “watch with you one hour,” to resist and avoid the snares of the evil one, to keep short accounts with you, and to stand solidly in the truth and in love in these deceptive, hateful days. Send angelic help and pour out your Holy Spirit!
