It was my first Reading this morning in my “Read the Bible in a Year” Program.

“Blessed Be The Name of the Lord” happens to be the song our Worship Team are working on tonight for Sunday Service.(”You give and take away, blessed be the Name of the Lord”)

It is the story you chose to illustrate for us this morning.

It also is a bitter and sad day for my Nation.

Coincidence?

I think not.

Long ago, I recognized that God doesn't roll dice, that "coincidence" never explains anything. I had the hardest time convincing my best friend, a strong Christian, of that, so finally God arranged such an impossible coincidence involving both of us that he had to concede the point. It was utterly hilarious.

We look back through history and see with a clarity that those who live through it can never have contemporaneously, and that will be just as true for this era. But discerning God's purpose in ordering today's events requires the end of the matter, the Tribulation and Second Coming, to occur to finally provide God's ultimate perspective. Then we'll understand.
