As soon as the gold in the coffer rings, a soul from purgatory springs!
Are there any Martin Luther’s in the Roman Church who will stand against him?
What’s next? Vending Machine Indulgences?
We Catholic in Michigan used to call those offenses
Venial Sins. Not Mortal Sins, which are the most grave offenses against God that one can do. Venial, meaning the consequence may only be temporary.
Just send hold through priority post.
Gold. *Sigh.
Just send gold through priority post.
Pope Francis is trying to tear down and rebuild Catholicism in his own image, with help from liberation theology, globalism, and Karl Marx.
It is his religion, he will do as he pleases. Now if Catholicism was of God / from God, God’s standards are higher than the talking mule’s standards. Got pachamama?
This is the kind of crap that gave us Martin Luther.
If, as Catholics, we believe in the teachings of the Church, the Pope is:
1) infallible;
2) the Holy Spirit speaks to and acts through him.
So, I’m keeping my powder dry on criticism, though the Church clearly has much to answer for, in a historical context. All I can do is to try and live my life uprightly and as morally as I can, and hope that it is viewed in as best light as possible on judgment day.
I’ve had the last rights, said over me several times, when they were considered “last rites” and haven’t committed any mortal sins since those times. These are just my thoughts, and I don’t want to get into a long drawn out dogmatic discussion with anyone about my beliefs. No drama.
What a voodoo religion.
Jeeze, he waits until NOW, when we have just 10 days to live it up!?! Couldn’t we have received a little early warning so we could prepare?
Let’s see. In the Bible there is...
no purgatory,
no indulgence,
no patron saints,
no immaculate conception of Mary,
and no pope.
Other than that, no problem.
Sorry Not in the market for papist indulgences.
Carbon Credits, on the other hand, offer the true easy path to righteousness. And forget about that ‘narrow gate’ shite.
Another form of indulgence.....go figure.
The Catechism we learned more than fifty years ago means nothing to our present Pontiff.
Bergoglio, AKA Pope Francis.
Seems like Pope might want to promote the seldom-if-ever-practiced sacrament of Confession, instead of this complexity
1) infallible;
2) the Holy Spirit speaks to and acts through him."
ONLY if he is: 1) addressing matters of faith and morals, and 2) speaking "ex cathedra" on a specific topic. Outside of these very narrow considerations, he is no more infallible than thee or me.
