Today's Devotional: Psalm 91

(1)"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide ("lodge") under the shadow of the Almighty."

(2)"I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God, in him will I trust."

(3)"Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."

(4)"He shall cover thee with his feather, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."

(5)"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;"

(6)"Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

(7)"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee."

(9)"Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;"

(10)"There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."

(11)"For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

(12)"They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."

(13)"Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder (or, "asp"): the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet."

(14)"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

(15)"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him."

(16)"With long (Or, "length of days") life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

O Father God, in the Name of Your Precious Son, Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, we come before You now on our knees with bowed heads; we cry out to You, Lord God Almighty, to forgive us for our sins, and we confess and turn away from those sins, thanking You that we can come to You and be cleansed from all unrighteousness.

Dear Lord Jesus, we also earnestly petition You, in an attitude of both praise and humbleness, to continue to reach out and destroy the works of Satan in the minds and hearts of men and women, who have given their eternal souls over to demonic forces in their wicked quest for conquest and to harm so many millions of U.S. citizens because of their hatred against Your Name and desire to destroy all who hold to the Testimony of You, Jesus. And, these vile individuals' looking to unleash wicked schemes against the Jewish People and the Nation-State of Israel, and Your People, the apple of Your eye, there.

Lord God, we also continue to lift up in earnest and intercessory prayer and petition, with heartfelt thanksgiving, the man you have blessed our nation with these past four years, President Donald J. Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence, who also hold to Your Testimony and love this the country You, through the Power of the Holy Spirit, inspired our Founding Fathers to set into place. Lord Jesus, protect them, their dear families, those who stand with President Trump in every aspect of authority, and our Armed Forces here and around the world who stand with President Trump and You, as they spend every waking moment doing their utmost to protect and defend this Republic You have created for us and for all around the world. Have mercy upon them, and surround them with Your angels as to be a hedge that no person or thing can break through.

Father God, we believe in Your Words spoken in Psalm 91, and in so many other places in Your Gospel, that ensure us that as believers in Christ Jesus through obedient faith, You will raise a standard against the enemy. You will arise and scatter them. They will come against us one way, and scatter from us seven ways! Through the Power of Your Holy Spirit, a great dread will come upon those who seek to harm and destroy us, and they will instead turn on each other!

Father God, we read in Ezekiel 38-39 of your coming judgment against those who think to destroy and capture Your Holy Nation, Israel, and the Jewish People. And, Bless Your Holy Name, the Name Above all Names, we will see with our own eyes, if You have not already sent Your Son to fetch we as believers Home, Your Mighty Hand as you strike down and obliterate every nation mentioned and their forces. Praise Your Holy Name! Let us rejoice and be glad, for You have set Your People free! And as Christians, grafted into that Vine that is You, Lord Jesus, when we gave You our lives back, which are Yours and not our own--bought with a Precious Price, we give You thanks and honor and glory and power. We thank You that we also have that protection around us, as we trust in You, Almighty God.

We praise You, O Lord God, for You are good, and Your mercies endure forever, according to Your Word!

Thank You, Jesus, for hearing our prayers and petitions. We lift thanksgiving up to you, and praise Your Holy Name, and look forward to Your Glorious Appearing upon Your soon Return--that Blessed Hope!

AMEN, and Shalom ("nothing missing, nothing broken, peace).
