“According to our founding documents, the people are the authorities and elected officials govern with their permission. The Apostle Paul said to obey the powers that b e. Here, in the USA, it is we the people who are the powers that be.“

That is fantastic!!
And true!
Can’t to use that logic the next time someone uses Scripture to justify following unjust laws.

Nice loophole you got there-too bad it’s false. It’s nullified by the fact 1 Timothy 2:2 says “ALL who are in high positions” -or authority. The constitution puts these people in authority when we elect them. Titus 3:1,2 says to be submissive to rulers and authorities (same issue) and to speak evil-OF NO ONE. 1 Peter 2:13 says to be subject to EVERY human institution (no matter what form of government sits over you). You don’t do it for yourself-but for the lord. Why? To silence ignorant fools with your testimony.

Today’s American Christian with his loopholes makes a mockery of scripture and will suffer judgment found in Romans 13:2-because they disobeyed the laws God put in place when He put government in place.

God did not form this government. He did not give us the first amendment. He did not guarantee the right in this country to worship false gods and take His holy name in vain as some right He guarantees.

Gods Law is settled in the heavens. Those who try to loophole out of it because of their passions and flesh will be judged.
