A young man attacked two municipal police officers this Wednesday morning in Bollène (Vaucluse). In his 20s, he was armed with two knives and shouted "Allah Akbar". He was arrested by the gendarmerie and the judicial police were seized.
Two municipal police officers from Bollène were targeted this Wednesday morning around 9.15 a.m. while they were intervening in an attempted assault. A resident alerted them. A young man had entered his garden and was trying to break down the front door with a planter.
Aged in his twenties, the assailant took out two knives when the police arrived, shouting " Death to the cops, Allah Akbar ". Despite the bulletproof vests, one of the officers was slightly injured. The young man was subdued with the use of a taser.
He was first placed in police custody at the Bollène gendarmerie before the investigation was entrusted to the Avignon branch of the SRPJ in Montpellier. The national anti-terrorism prosecution has been notified and has not taken up the case at this stage. The mayor of Bollène salutes the " courage and dedication " of the police. Faced with this situation, the mayor has decided to strengthen the staff of the municipal police and asks the Prefect to benefit from additional reinforcements. (translation)

Deux policiers municipaux de Bollène ont été pris pour cible ce mercredi matin vers 9h15 alors qu'ils intervenaient sur une tentative d'agression. Une habitante les a alertés. Un jeune homme s'était introduit dans son jardin et essayait de défoncer la porte d'entrée avec une jardinière.
Âgé d'une vingtaine d'années, l'assaillant a sorti deux couteaux à l'arrivée des policiers en criant "Mort aux flics, Allah Akbar". Malgré les gilets pare-balle, l'un des agents a été légèrement blessé. Le jeune homme a été maîtrisé grâce à l'usage d'un taser.
Il a d'abord été placé en garde à vue à la gendarmerie de Bollène avant que l'enquête ne soit confiée à l'antenne avignonnaise du SRPJ de Montpellier. Le parquet national antiterroriste a été avisé et ne s'est pas saisi du dossier à ce stade. Le maire de Bollène salue "le courage et le dévouement" des policiers. Face à cette situation le maire a décidé de renforcer les effectifs de la police municipale et demande au Préfet de bénéficier de renforts supplémentaires.(original)
