Is it true that Voager red shifted when leaving the gravity well of the solar system? I read a study about that once. Kinda screws with the big bang.

You are vaguely remembering the Pioneer probes that were found to be decelerating slightly more than expected from the gravity of the sun and planets alone. It turned out to be from heat, infrared radiation, being emitted by the spacecraft’s instruments. Nothing to do with the Big Bang or Doppler Effect.
