Dear Father In Heaven,
How Hallowed is Your Most Wonderful Name!
We Love You With Our Whole Hearts,
With Our Whole Souls,
With Our Whole Strength,
And With Our Whole Being.
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship
You Alone Are The One, True, Holy, and Righteous God.
Rock of All Ages,
Our Creator,
You Have Made Us,
and All That Is.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

A Song of Ascents.

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In 2008, I voted for Rudi in the Primary, and then grudgingly gave my vote in the General Election to Sarah Palin and the guy she was running with. Naturally, I accompanied my vote with lots of prayer, and was hugely disappointed when Obama was elected. "Oh Well," I thought, "At least this shows that America is quite capable of electing a black president, even one with a moslem-sounding name. At LEAST we aren't prejudiced!" We'd give him four years, and then, if he proves to be as lousy a president as he seemed he would be, we'd turn him out and get a Republican.

And so, 2012 rolled around, and I worked hard and prayed for Herman Cain(RIP, Brother), only to be horrified by my party's choice, whom I profoundly disliked. When Romney was Governor of my home state of MA, he made a mess of things and I did not like him at all. In fact, Romney was the guy who got me kicked off "that other site" when I expressed that I didn't trust him back in 2008. Nevertheless, I voted for him, holding my nose and praying for deliverance from the reign of "The Lyin' King" (my name for "Zero", which was also responsible for getting me kicked off "that other site"). Once again, my hopes were dashed and it seemed that God was ignoring my heartfelt prayers. What the h*ll was going on? (Meanwhile, I worked on this thread daily and dutifully prayed for the Peace of Jerusalem, and for my own beloved country, especially to recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, and move our Embassy to its rightful location, a prayer I have been saying for 36 YEARS!)

Well, of course you know the rest. Even if the New York City Real Estate Scene is not exactly "The Backside of the Desert", or if The Media, Academia, Big Tech, and the Left, aren't exactly "Pharaoh's Court", the analogy is not too far off. We pray, pray, pray, and sometimes it looks like God is not answering. The Truth is that God is INDEED answering...just not on MY Schedule.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
