The issue is what the article is about.

We apparently don’t share the same faith, so why would we see eye to eye on “Bible Thumper”?

And what does your tag line mean?

It was funny that you mentioned urinating in the baptismal. Many people also do that on God’s Word.

No, but I think he’s one of the many saints in the Bible worth listening to and learning from.

Amen! Exactly. Although there can be Pharisee-like Christians, any Christian who sincerely loves the Lord seems extreme to the world. I remember I believed that about Bible-believing Christians too.

I agree.

You see it as funny to use a derogatory label for Christians and I don't.

And what does your tag line mean?

I would have thought it was obvious but maybe not. People are becoming hysterical and possessed of the Spirit of Fear rather then one of power, love and a sound mind. I pray that we are delivered from them. hopefully before they decide to start up with the human sacrifices.

It was funny that you mentioned urinating in the baptismal. Many people also do that on God’s Word.

Yes. I have noticed that. Often by people who think it is funny to call Christians derogatory terms.

You’re welcome. I’ve really missed being around here, too. And I’m also proud to be a “Bible Thumper.” If we’re going to boast, we should boast in the Lord! And He said we should be glad if the world calls us evil! :)

Yes, we are apparently not on the same side.

If I may don my peacemaker cap for a minute...I don't believe FPO and certainly not myself are trying to make a joke out of "call(ing) Christians derogatory terms". It's more about defusing the word and finding the positive in it. That's why it wouldn't bother me if someone were to call me a Bible-thumper. Though it may conjure up an image of a holier-than-thou, church-lady snob, it really is all about humbly looking to the Divinely-inspired word as the rule of our faith and basing what we believe on what that word teaches.
