Second, the Pope has announced the setting up of a commission to decide which Vatican financial transactions should remain confidential. And, incredibly, the man he has asked to run it is Cardinal Kevin Farrell, formerly one of the closest associates of ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the pathological sex abuser who was for many years Archbishop of Washington.

Why the need for "confidential financial transactions", Jorge?

If this guy isn’t the equivalent of an antipope, I don’t know who is. I am sorry to say that my trust in the Catholic Church has disappeared.

Supposedly, Francis has now removed Parolin from the Council overseeing the Vatican Bank (IOR -- Istituto per le Opere di Religione (Institute for Religious Works)). Unfortunately, the only references I can find for it are tweets in English referring to Italian articles.
