I doubt the Francis will commemorate the Lepanto Victory today for fear offending his "islamic brothers" and contradicting his Tutti Fruitti garbage about "no just wars".

The date would have been October 17th if the calendar reform instituted by Pope Gregory XIII had been implemented 11 years earlier.

(from the article): " Communism, has developed into a new type of war: a psychological war, which, through the weapons of words and images,
aims at striking souls before striking bodies, and in souls, the profound tendencies in man, his sentiments and emotions."

This is one of the simplest explanations of Communism/ Marxism, and how it attacks and deceives members of the Church,
by wordsmith with the mind, in order to attack the soul by appealing to our base human tendencies via our emotions.
Emotions are not logical, they are an immediate response to external forces without thought, a knee-jerk reaction, if you will.
Don't forget that the 'Great Satan' is known to be 'The Great Deceiver', and has spoken to mankind in 'half-truths', as far back as in Eden.
The deceptions frequently occur incrementally, sometimes subliminally, that is to say, we are not mindful of the change.
It is a slow erosion of our spiritual belief.
These 'half-truths' lead to deception of the mind and of emotion, which is what leads to falsehood, and eventually to apostasy,
which we find coming out of Rome, even today.
