You’ve got many gorgeous windows here. But the one that caught my eye was the bronze snake. It was the correct color of verdigris! Talk about attention to detail.
That’s the color of the Statue of Liberty which is copper (related to bronze). Did you know it was shiny copper when it was new?

Hadn't noticed the verdigris--thanks for pointing it out. I'm dealing constantly with such a high volume of images that sometimes I fail to consider them closely enough. Several times you have drawn my attention thus.
Yes, I had known about the copper lady. There's a reproduction of Verocchio's statue of David, posted next to the original, coming next week--post #102 or 103--that you'll enjoy for the same reason. I could post it right here, but then you'd lose the sense of anticipation, and where's the fun in that?
