The public worship of the Christian church is particularly essential for our nations wellbeing, they state in a letter addressed to U.K. prime minister Boris Johnson along with the nation's first ministers.
UNITED KINGDOM, September 29, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) A group of 700 Christian ministers from across the United Kingdom have written an open letter demanding that their governments do not ask them to suspend Christian worship again.
The letter is addressed to the U.K. prime minister, Boris Johnson, and the first ministers of Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
The public worship of the Christian church is particularly essential for our nations wellbeing. As we live in the shadow of a virus we are unable to control, people urgently need the opportunity to hear and experience the good news and hope of Jesus Christ, who holds our lives in his hands, reads the letter, dated September 24 and signed by hundreds of U.K. pastors.
We therefore wish to state categorically that we must not be asked to suspend Christian worship again. For us to do so would cause serious damage to our congregations, our service of the nation, and our duty as Christian ministers.
The letter lists as authors the Rev. A. Paul Levy, Minister, Ealing International Presbyterian Church, London; Rev. David M Gobbett, Lead Minister, Highfields Church Cardiff, Wales; Rev. Dr. William J.U. Philip, Minister, The Tron Church, Glasgow, Scotland; Rev. David Johnston, Minister Emeritus Presbyterian Church in Ireland; and the Rev. Dr. Matthew P.W. Roberts, Minister, Trinity Church York, England.

Gee I Wish American churches actually understood what the first amendment means when it discusses the free exercise of religion.
It doesnt mean some governor can tell churches to shut down
Dont make it look like South Korean kimchi cult.
Talk about closing the barn door.
Who knew the good Pastors went to the UK?
Do we have Pastors like that here, and the Enemedia has
simply silenced them?
Well, we do have this guy...

It will be instructive going forward to remember South Dakota’s response to the pandemic. Stay home if you’re at risk, take care of your relatives and friends who may be at risk, wear a mask if it makes you feel safer. And carry on with life.
I would be most unwelcome in my parish if i cited that. There would be so many “but, buts”.
Our carnival (drive by/thru as it is) will be the last bit of volunteering we do until this craziness stops. 2 other volunteers felt the need to tell me my mask was “slipping”. They waited until last night to tell us we need name n address for any cash payments...new accounting rule. I think there will be a few jones n smiths on our list.
Even new pastor is scared to death. I tell them Gov Abbott exempted churches from capacity n mask requirements... “but the Bishop said”
So sad
