I would like to do research project on traitors within the Church. I would like to see how many betrayed the Church during the Reformation, during the French Revolution, during the Revolution in Mexico, during the Spanish Civil War, etc.

The more history I know.... the less this becomes surprising. Prelates doing the same betrayal - just using different words and different causes.
