The number of suggestive passages in the Bible is enormous, and they can be and often are taken salaciously. Here is an example of a passage which isn't at all suggestive, which artists choose nevertheless to sexualize. If nothing else, it is a subtle way for demons, working through unspiritual artists, to distract viewers from the text's real meaning.

In case anyone is interested, I'm ready to explain why I included them, or indeed the statues I mentioned above.

I have no problem with your selections. I just felt like remarking about the artists’ renderings of the subject in question. It kind of tickled me.
