yes mom and Ruth were happy with their names, mom lived up to hers more Ruth did
The laudable old practice of giving biblical names and virtues (Faith, Hope, Patience) to one’s children largely and lamentably has died out. Our daughters’ names both come from the same verse, Luke 8:3—Joanna and Susanna. This loss is a measure of biblical illiteracy here in post-Christian America. But, we have the Bible here in pictures!
