During a September 13 Traditional Latin Mass celebrated by a priest of the Fraternity of St Peter (FSSP) in Saarlouis, Germany, Holy Communion was distributed by means of dessert plates.
The masked celebrant placed plates on the Communion rail. He then put one consecrated host on each of them, and returned to the altar where he waited from a distance while the masked faithful approached the plates from the pews to take Communion.
Communion was received with the tongue from the plate.
After Communion, the priest returned to the Communion rail and collected the plates like in a restaurant.
Then, he placed a new set of plates on the Communion rail and put hosts on them.
The plates were not purified during Mass.

Bizarre
Horrifying.
Somehow, it’s always the Huns.
At the last supper, Jesus broke bread and GAVE it to his apostles. He did not put it in their mouths. I dont understand the controversy.
The FSSP is bending over backwards to get Holy Communion to their parishioners. It was probably this or no communion.
Our priest has to “purify” his fingers with rubbing alcohol between communions, otherwise we would not be able to receive.
Crazy times. It boils down to whether the local bishop is willing to stand up to the leftist madness, or not.
My son just joined a parish where they are not allowed to receive at all. Again an outcome being driven by a spineless bishop.
And we thought we could rely on FSSP to do things right?
How do you you know? Were you there?
Jesus spat on the dirt, made mud with it and spread it on a blind man’s eyes.
He also spit and touched a deaf and dumb man’s ears and tongue with His fingers.
How about priests standing up to leftist bishops?
What are you talking about???
Why join a parish like that? Go to the SSPX - priests who actually care for souls.
The FSSP refuses to enact the abuse known as communion in the hand, the local bishop is mandating it despite the fact that on the tongue is more sanitary.
The SSPX has its own unique set of problems, but fear of Covid-1984 is not one of them.
