I won't argue the point beyond what I've already stated, and your view may well be correct, although you haven't successfully debunked my theory. This could put Enoch in line as the other Witness. I like your proposed symbolism--inventive and plausible: fits the essential facts and sounds like the explanations the Bible gives for other imagery.

Ach! I wasn't trying to 'debunk', FRiend, just thinking...it makes sense that on the eve of their arrival - and what was to be their hardest test, Jesus would want to encourage and strengthen them for the trial to come. With hope of the resurrection...
