I’ve often wondered about that passage. What’s wrong with shoes and right about bare feet?
My guess is that God does not want a barrier (sandal) between Himself and His creature(man),Besides, He is pleased to bless his creature and a barrier would diminish its effect. Just surmising.
Frank Costanza wondered the same thing.
Feet coverings possibly interrupt electromagnetic forces?
Shoes are dirty. When people entered homes or especially holy places, they removed them.
On one biblical level, Feet have a significant meaning with regards to whether one was going to raise up their dead brothers offspring.
The sandal was removed if the man would not raise up seed for his dead brother.
That man also was to be spat upon.
Those stories or accounts in the New Testament about wearing sandals or not or spitting are prophetic clues or riddles about the Kingdom of Heaven.
If one would have sandals on and a staff in their hand, prophetic meaning is that they are taking the responsibility to raise up their dead brothers offspring and has the authority to lead/rule in terms of govt or priesthood.
But one should take care to recall Moses and Aaron both had rods/staffs that turned into a serpent.
That is a prophetic picture of what was going to occur in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, the church.
Lots of obscure natural topics/events in bible hold spiritual meaning and significance.
That’s the premise of first the natural, then the spiritual.
