(As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.)
To: PetroniusMaximus
Thank you for resisting sin.
- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
- Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
- Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
- And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
- For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
- If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
- But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Hebrews, Catholic chapter twelve, Protestant verses one to eight,
as authorized, but not authored, by King James

Not really. Apostasia is the same thing as apostasy, which means turning away, or falling from faith. It can’t mean departing, as in being raptured.

Many thanks for the encouraging words. Indeed, we do so rejoice with you.

See you in the clouds, soon. We won’t be here when the ‘thief in the night’ Day of the Lord opening the seven seals begins. Maranatha, even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

it actually says ...a falling away which is a defection from the truth. We are clearly seeing that now. MANY have turned from the truth and love the lie.

Buddy I am writing you at the top of my prayer list. Let’s do this together if you are ready.
I will pray for God to open your eyes, raise you up and fill you with strength to follow Him. Every day at 12:00 PM est.
Love you brother.

You can't wake yourself up --
That's a vital admission or understanding or whatever. Our lives and our salvation are gifts from our maker, and it is He who grants faith. It is up to us to accept this, and deal with the ramifications.
God bless and keep you! Don't preoccupy with the timing of his coming, go about your life. We are here to praise God and, however the spirit moves us, to draw others to understanding and salvation.

The Greek has a definite article before 'Apostasia' thus rendering it a proper noun, THE Departure. The Departure was how the English translations read until the Douey Rheims translated it the rebellion during the Protestand reformation. The King James Protestant translators then rendered it the falling away (from Rome, one would presume).
The rendering of the root verb refers to a physical departure fifteen times in the New Testament, so a physical departure could be a good rendering. Andy Woods taught a Sunday School lesson on this very verse today

You are in error. Try watching the video I linked from Andy Woods on 2 Thess 2:3. Have a quiet evening in the Lord.
