Where in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition does it say that YOU, Luircin, are saved?
I don’t believe in “Sacred tradition.” “Sacred tradition” is a garbage excuse to pervert the words of Scripture.
But if you want Scripture...
From Jesus: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.”
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Fathers hand.”
From John: “He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.” (Emphasis mine)
“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
And St. Paul:
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I believe that Jesus is the Christ and Lord, and that God raised Him from the dead; therefore I have salvation. Period, end of story, fullstop, no Catholic weasel words to say that Jesus didn’t REALLY mean what he actually said.
Anyone who says that you can’t know you have salvation is horrendously wrong at best and an outright blasphemer at worst because they’re declaring that they know better than God the Son.
What presumption to think that you know better than Christ Himself, who told us that we could be assured of our salvation!
What an insult to God to assume that human action can snatch His children from His hand!
