You use words as tools to twist the perception of Truth to appear as darkness. The warmth of the Fire that kindles in the heart can discern Truth from non-truth.
This is why the Pharisees prayers were just words falling upon deaf ears. You can fool the thinking mind, but not the heart.
Reading the Bible with your mind without the Holy Spirit within you is blindness.
