I’ve considered both, actually.

Some of this is on my FR home page though it’s pretty short.

I’ll just kind of throw this out there. I know not everyone agrees with me and that’s OK.

There is a final 7 years to run. It will be the 70th week shown in the prophet Daniels 70 x 7 heptad (sp). Before that 70th week starts, I believe the Church escapes that (Luke 21:34-36). This is a hot topic that many disagree with. Yes, it is escapism. Well, time is gonna tell the story.

For shorthand, some of us call that the tribulation. It is NOT specifically called that in the Bible anywhere. It’s just a shorthand. Like “Holy Trinity” which you won’t find anywhere in their either (But Matthew 28:19 shows it).

During that 7 years you have the Antichrist. And maybe shortly after his debut, the false prophet (he arises following the Antichrist - how long afterwards, dunno).

The Antichrist shows who he is by “confirming” (somehow) the 7-year false peace deal that divides Israel. Yes, it will bring a false peace. Except for the two witnesses (Revelation 11) who wreak havoc on the world. They preach and the unbelieving world hates them. Somehow, the Antichrist kills them at the end of their 3-1/2 year ministry.

Their bodies lie in the streets of Jerusalem. For 3-1/2 days (not a typo) the world celebrates their deaths. The whole world looks upon their dead bodies with great joy. This was not possible before TV and the internet. The world sends gifts to one another (Amazon next day! or same day).

God raises them from the dead. They rapture (ascend) into heaven while the world watches in fear.

Now the last 3-1/2 years are about to run. For me, this is when Jesus marks it as saying then shall be great tribulation. The mark of the beast is deployed. The false prophet forces people to take the mark of the beast or refuse it. Those who refuse it are killed and live forever. Those who take the mark of the beast live, may buy and sell and burn in the lake of fire forever (Revelation 13 and 14).

Even more severe judgments from God come during that last 3-1/2 years. But the big one is yet to come.

The world’s armies gather at Megiddo. They intend to destroy Israel and do tremendous damage. The Second Coming happens - Armageddon’s last battle. Jesus defeats them very quickly. The birds eat their body parts.

Sometime before all of this I expect a world war; at a minimum a regional war. Iran, Russia, Turkey, Libya and more try to destroy Israel. This is Ezekiel 38. Left Behind had this happening near the start of the tribulation. I think it can start no later than that and I think even that may be too late. With Iran’s nuclear work, it is a genuine threat to the state of Israel. How much has Iran accomplished? Don’t know. Lot of activity over there the last few weeks.

And of course the most important part: Jesus is Lord. Jesus is the Messiah. There is no other Messiah. His blood atones for our sins. Our Salvation is a gift from God, regardless of works. Jesus was born of a virgin (Mary) by the Holy Ghost’s miracle.

Jesus will reign on Earth for 1,000 years after Armageddon. There will be peace and the animals will not harm one another. A child will be able to play with a snake and a scorpion (if memory serves).

At the end of that 1,000 years, Satan is let loose again. There is a second Gog-Magog war but this time it comes from the four corners of the Earth. They are defeated quickly then, as well.

Then, it’s time for eternity and the new Jerusalem.

Well, that was a quick summary. Yeah I’ve considered doing what you suggested. Maybe this will push me farther along, LOL.

I know it’s not exactly what all believe. So there may be comments. I can’t please everyone but I WILL say the mark of the beast and globalization both seem to be coming rather quickly.
