God designed our lifespan with this in mind.
I have been thinking the same thing recently. The short life on earth is not visible when compared to an infinite existence.
2 Corinthians 4 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Eternity doesn't approach time infinity as a limit. Instead, it is timeless, experiencing all time. In other words, you wouldn't experience a continuously shrinking percentage of suffering to bliss, but rather an instantaneous removal, not only of suffering, but of the past experience of suffering. That is why suffering in this world is not only light but momentary (παραυτίκα (parautika), meaning it ceases in a moment.
More excuses.
There is no time in eternity.
Very good word of encouragement.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV)
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
