Why is it, do you think, that young men in the various dioceses and archdioceses with extremely high average ages of active Catholic priests are not seeking to become Catholic priests

Because they do not see holy bishops about them. In the few diocese where the bishop is holy, there are many vocations.

How about this: Moral courage, obvious deep belief in and rock-solid devotion to the One True Faith, a true self-sacrificial bent, an unslakable thirst for saving souls....where might young Catholic men in the U.S. go to see such things?
