Without religion YOU are able to worship the way YOU want, that is not God’s design.
The Jews had religion which was established by God. They had priests who were consecrated (set-apart), offering sacrifice and ritual for the forgivness of sin, and so do Catholics. The Jews failed to follow and accept Him, so a new religion was established. He did NOT throw out His design!
Jesus said to His priests, “Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.” [John 20:23]. That is His design. You don’t get to change that.
To presume your sins are forgiven, without using His design, is beyond dangerous.
I'm not presuming on my sins being forgiven.
I'm believing God when He says....
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus did not come to establish a new religion. He did not come to establish ANY religion.
He came to open the way to God through His atoning death on the cross.
JESUS saves. Religions and religious works do not.
If they did, then the OT Jewish religion would have been good enough as that was established by God Himself at Mt. Sinai.
Show us from Scripture.
John 4:19-24 Sir, the woman said, I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.
Woman, Jesus replied, believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
Jesus tells the woman at the well explicitly that true worship is not about going to a certain place, in those days the temple at Jerusalem.
This is what God has to say about religious activities without the corresponding heart change.
Amos 5:21-24 I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!
And do you honestly think in light of that the masses offered by the sin stained hands of homosexual, pedo priests is acceptable to God?
God requires more than the outward appearance of righteousness.
