So called Catholic schools are nothing more than ‘escapes’ for liberal parents who don’t want their kids in the public schools. Most of these parents don’t give a hoot about Catholicism or the faith. The true Catholics are in the minority there and more and more resort to homeschooling.

The way the opening paragraph was written, I couldn’t tell if the principal got suspended for canning the flamers or for not canning them.

I’m not catholic but I deeply respect this bishop for taking the stand he did. One must stand for truth, and the truth is that homosexuality is completely against scripture.

If I recall correctly, homosexual acts prevent one from entering into the Kingdom of God. A Catholic School must not honor grave sin, or place those broken vessels in teaching positions and authority. Pray that they are delivered of this “Thorn of the Flesh”

The church teaches the fullness of the Gospel. Those who teach in our schools are required to uphold our teaching in the classroom and to model it in their personal lives. We recognize and support the right of each individual to make choices. We also understand that some choices have particular consequences for those who represent the church in an official capacity.

If those parents don't like the way the Catholic school INSISTS on Catholic values with their teachers, then they should send their children to public schools. There they don't get religion OR the three R's.

The real problem lay in who HIRED the Lesbian in the first place.

I worked at a Jewish school...and I am Catholic. It was only for a school year. I taught physical education and Spanish.
When the Rabbi interviewed me he did ask me one final question: if I attended Mass. I was able to answer him: "Yes, Rabbi L., I attend Mass daily." He was gratified to hear that.

But, of course, anyone protesting the placement of queer principals would be ignored....

"The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."

The Holy Bible teaches that homosexual acts are evil, Romans 1:25-27 for example.

If the principal is merely upholding Catholic teaching (in this case, which is clearly Biblical), why is he being placed on leave?

Fire the righteous man and coddle the perverts. Yep, that’s undoubtedly God’s will at work.

“Seattle bishop Paul Etienne initially released a letter on February 19 that began, “With the voluntary resignation of two teachers from Kennedy Catholic High School recently, we as church [sic] have discovered once again the delicate and difficult reality of being one family of faith when our personal opinions create tension in the family of God.” “

That bishop needs to quit and go into the gardening business. Cause he sure can spread what makes the roses grow.

I remember hearing about a Christian school, a few years ago, which terminated a teacher who was pregnant and unmarried.

The point being, some private religious schools expect their teachers to uphold the morality and theology in their personal lives.

While the issue in this story is homosexuality, there are other moral issues besides homosexuality which are of concern.

What are these perverts even doing anywhere near schools. Don’t the Catholics ever read the Scriptures?
