[Catholic Caucus] Pope Francis: Canon Law Revision Project is Coming to an End

The pope said that the pontifical council’s revision is moving “in the right direction” with its update to the canonical legislation to “make it more organic and in accordance with the new situations and problems of the current socio-cultural context” and “together offer suitable tools to facilitate its application.”

“make it more organic and in accordance with the new situations and problems of the current socio-cultural context”

This is not a good thing for a pope to say. It can only be interpreted one-way: "make canon law relative". Make it relative to whatever situation arises whether it be Islam, Amazonian idols, married priests, women priests, communism, LGBQT, or any other "socio-cultural context".

This is not surprising to anyone who has watched Francis because his entire focus has been leading down this road.

When The Church no longer stands on The Truth, then that church not longer serves the will of God.

Pope Francis needs to “come to an end” and soon. His reward will be waiting for him in Hades.

I will always have my Catholic faith!
I’m not sure how long I will attend the Catholic Church. This Marxist pope is forcing me away sadly.

"Chrislam" isn't going to come as long as Catholics recite the Nicene Creed every Sunday and mean it. Every word of that prayer is heresy and blasphemy to Muslims after the first phrase "I believe in one God".

Canon law is rules and regulations, not a statement of belief, so it would impact that anyway. You may well see the ground cut out from under priests who do things like refuse communion to pro-abort politicians, though. Not a good thing.

And if a person is a baptized member of that Church “that no longer serves the will of God” does that person remain in that church

Of course he does, if it's the Catholic Church.
Baptism is forever and always.

How can a man (the Pope) FORCE you away from the Church?
You have FREE WILL. If you truly believe in the founder of the Catholic Church, Jesus, then you WILL follow Him all your life.

The Pope is a mere man and he will die. He is already EIGHTY-THREE years old. He won't live forever.

Hard to believe that you have much faith at all when the mere existence of a Pope you don't like will take you AWAY from Jesus' Church. What if you don't like his successor? What will you do then?

Don't leave! It's exactly what The Enemy wants. He knows how to read and apply Scripture to his evil purpose:

"I will strike shepherd, and the sheep will scatter."

The hirelings run, because they don't care for the sheep. The faithful? They stay and fight.
