Excellent question! Ahhhh, okay...
"Let me root, root, root for the home team.."
Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the *Root of David*, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
That would be a great name for a book!
"How to Loose Your Joy"
Heh, always a simple explanation for the mysteries of the universe. That one even vindicates the word "loose" that keeps running around loose, grating on people. :)
Come to think of it, how many book titles begin with, "The Joy of.. "
This is a great train of thought, because to go from "lose" to "loose" is a simple matter of adding an "O", the vocative particle.
Thanks much for the inspiration!
1 Corinthians 15
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Nice graphic!
lose: “to fail”
somehow became
loose: “free”
Genesis 28:19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
It really *is* the simple meaning. :)
Winning!
