Joseph and Mary travelled to Bethlehem to register for the census for taxation purposes. Some leftists say Jesus was 'homeless' when he was born. Okay, but point out that he was homeless because he was taxed out of his house! I recall Slick Willy promoting the "Jesus was homeless" lie. Joseph was a carpenter. I doubt he was homeless; he was a self-employed tradesman, and he could certainly have built his own house.

I think they’ve been owned on that one enough so they’ve moved to Jesus was homeless. Well yeah pretty much intentionally during his ministry.
