And don’t feed the ones who justify their Catholic Church no matter what. As an ex-catholic Protestant, who grew up with devoted Catholics, nuns and priests as friends and family, I’ve seen both sides.

Wrong by a long shot. We are the refugees. We dont belong in Heaven right now. Jesus does though. Get it ?

The church was needed because we do not understand the science behind souls. So it had to be a religious belief. The science behind resurrection and rapture however do not really belong in a church. Although one could see where it actually can be somewhat beneficial. Basically our churches on earth are probably institutions of higher learning in heaven.

Joseph brought Mary to Bethlehem to PAY TAXES.

The refugee story is ludicrous.

Rome makes a lot of non-biblical claims...they cite “tradition” to justify these.

Joseph and Mary travelled to Bethlehem to register for the census for taxation purposes. Some leftists say Jesus was 'homeless' when he was born. Okay, but point out that he was homeless because he was taxed out of his house!

I recall Slick Willy promoting the "Jesus was homeless" lie. Joseph was a carpenter. I doubt he was homeless; he was a self-employed tradesman, and he could certainly have built his own house.

I doubt he was homeless

agreed. He was not homeless, just on government mandated travel. But if the liberals are going to say he was homeless then make them admit he was homeless due to government taxation!

"So dumb even a Klingon knows this isn't true."

Actually, it "is" true. The Holy Family were indeed TEMPORARY refugees...but NOT IMMIGRANTS. They fully and always intended to return to their home.

Some leftists say Jesus was ‘homeless’ when he was born. //

I think they’ve been owned on that one enough so they’ve moved to Jesus was homeless. Well yeah pretty much intentionally during his ministry.

It is sad how little of the bible people in authority know.

Mary and Joseph were not refugees, they simply showed up where the government told them to show up, and couldn’t find any room in any good hotels, so they rented out a barn for the night.

Then, a king put a hit out on their children, so they hid for a couple of years, and then came back to their homeland.

aces: they back the church as more important than truth "

That Jesus was born is a fact !
That Jesus was conceived by God, thru the Holy Spirit is a belief
That Jesus was born in Bethlehem while the family relocated temporarily
in order to comply with Roman Taxation regulations,
does NOT indicate that they were homeless, or refugees, or were a "refugee family".

I believe that the bishops miter must be on too tight
and has restricted the blood flow to his brain.
The Bishops statement clearly indicates a globalist, no-borders mentality
which clearly identifies with the current papal pretender.
By supporting, and being paid by refugee organizations, the Roman Catholic Church
has become the "Whore of Babylon" thru the current heretic.

WRONG !!

Jesus was a lawful citizen., as were his parents.

That’s why the family returned to Jerusalem from Egypt, to make sure that when Jesus was born he would be enrolled as a citizen as well (as Mary and Joseph were). There were so many people in town for the same purpose that all the ‘hotels’ in the city were booked and they had to stay outside the city limits in a shaby ‘motel’ (barn).

one day we will see the true glory of our Lord and words like the birds of the field do not sow or reap for food why does man of little faith will be a light in the darkness of our dying world. The Lord is supernatural and man has no clue, the church is a good place to hear others views and pick up a bible..salvation in a church, oh pleeeeease...salvation is of a walk with Christ..the church does not define this walk as it is individual, it’s how he knows us..

Actually, 'tis true. He was a refugee for a while (they hid in a different Roman province, not a whole different country though). But guess what? After Herod died, they left Egypt and went back home.
