But seriously, if the author means that Francis will abolish the requirement for priests to remain celibate, I'll believe it when I see it.
I’m not catholic but in today’s world that may be a good thing. Sex and procreation are as natural as breathing if you ask me.
In response to this and other questions I have posed regarding catholic doctrine that is unsupported by the Bible, my catholic friends and family have assured me that their church has in place a magisterium that protects the faithful from error. This is of course in opposition to the evangelicals that argue that the Bible is silent on this magisterium but does mention that the believer can access the Holy Spirit for guidance.
As an evangelical I have been saying that in my view the Bible doesn’t support the catholic doctrine of celibacy of priests. For that matter, I have been saying that the Bible doesnt support the office of priest in the New Testament church.
So my question is, if the magisterium has been correct regarding priestly celibacy for 1500-2000 years and all of a sudden the church reverses course and abolishes the celibacy rule, what would such a speculated change in doctrine say about the reliability of the magisterium?
Pope Socialista doing all he can to queerify and paganize the church as he destroys it
All the gay sex you could want!
Francis Will Abolish Celibacy in South America
Francis Will Abolish Catholicism in South America .more truthful
I believe this is the first step leading to ordaining homos,trannies, etc. as priests.
Do not be fooled. This is just step one to permitting gays and gay sex in the church.
Catholics: Leave now before this False Prophet leads you stray. You cannot honor God in a house of sin. You will need to split into your own church.
God thinks it’s WRONG TO FORBID to marry, eat meat, etc. Let the clergy marry, for Pete’s sake.
4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
