Show me in the Bible that it is the sole rule of faith. We can see the practice of priestly celibacy/constancy in the practice of the early Church. This was merely a continuation of the Jewish practice of priestly constancy during the time that they served in the Temple. But since the practice in the West was for the celebration of daily Mass, this lead to the practice of continual constancy, which in turn lead to mandatory celibacy.
