I have always wondered if the two might be Elijah and Enoch, since they are the only two humans that have never died, and now will. Yes I understand a. God can bring back whoever He chooses and b. the similar MO of Moses with plagues is described. Just a thought.
It’s a good thought and one which many ponder including my self. It is not dogma but I believe it is Moses and Elijah. Dr. John Whitcomb is the man when it comes to the Two Witnesses. Check him out on audio sermon.com
Actually death is the separation of the soul and spirit from the body and since these are in God’s presence now they technically died even though they did not see death as mere men have also many died who were raised to life by Jesus and Elijah. Also, the rapture of the Church millions will not die as men die also.
If you read Mal. 4 and read Rev. 11:3-7, there have only been two who do those kinds of wonders and power. God tells us who they are by describing what they did in the past. The time ahead is a very SUPERNATURAL time and that Moses and Elijah are the Two Witnesses should not shock any. Also, they both dealt with Israel in the past and God will use both again to deal with them in the future!
Thanks my bro!
Heck, I am no one in Heavens realm but I’d take the job..pain and all, just to watch the would catch a glimpse for a moment..
My choices also. For the same reason. Plus Scripture says “It has been appointed to man once to die, and after that the judgment” As you said, they have not died. But if they return, they will.
