January 3, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) The United Methodist Church (UMC) announced Friday it will be dealing with ongoing divisions over homosexuality by formally splitting, with the formation of a new denomination for Methodists who hold to a Biblical understanding of sex and marriage.
The church has been divided over the issues of same-sex marriage and homosexual clergy, with its General Conference voting in February against compromising its opposition. Tensions have continued since, however, and on Friday the church announced the formation of a new traditional Methodist denomination for more conservative Methodists, the New York Times reports.
The Washington Post adds that the agreement spares the churchs left-wing faction from facing sanctions that were originally slated to take effect, including suspension and/or expulsion for clergy who officiate same-sex weddings. By default, local churches will be members of the UMC, and would have to conduct votes in order to identify as traditional Methodist.
The plan, which still needs to be approved by the conference in May, was devised by a 16-person committee of bishops and other officials who deemed separation the best means to resolve our differences, allowing each part of the Church to remain true to its theological understanding.

Split over sodomy
Just who are these 16 people? And will the May 2020 General Conference approve this plan?
It sounds like this resolution was brokered by someone OUTSIDE of the church body. Of course, its not a done deal yet, so dont jump to a final conclusion too early.
Im thinking that this negotiation plan was cooked up by the pagan UMC groups in the US.
How wonderful for those following the word of G_d.
Please, for your souls and those of your loved ones, continue towards the light!
May G_d bless us all!
Pray for the faithful who split with the satanic-influenced congregants.
Pray for the ones lost in the darkness as well.
“For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,
And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one anothermen committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.”
(New Testament, Romans 1:26, 27)
If they can come up with a fair formula for gracious separation, they may be able to avoid the fiascoes that tore apart the PCUSA and ECUSA.
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”
Hmmm, looks as if the perverts want to stay on the gravy train.
Here's a different solution: Expel the sodomites. Since they already have their own religion which has nothing to do with Christianity, they can form their own church. Of course, they must do it with their own money.
It’s sad that the normal conservative wing has to be the one to leave and split off rather than the homo wing starting their own new church.
The Unitarians will take them...
Faggots eventually kill everything they touch. Let their churches of evil die and pray they come to repent of their ways.
Sadly it won’t die- there are too many liberals and independents that want religion on their terms, they want a god created in their image- so they will flock to churches like that just to claim, falsely, that they are spiritual-
Under this plan if there is a split will the traditionalists and sodomists churches be completely separate organizatiinally, or just seperate churches but still under an iverarching UMC?
Why don’t the sodomists just go away to a universalist church?
Money and power. Right now they have both by sucking it away from a denomination which built it up over many years of effort. If they leave, they lose it all.
These people are leaches. They latch onto something and suck the lifeblood out of it.
How will it split? 50/50? 90% for tradition, 10% for gay or visa versa?
This can show the real numbers of who supports the gay agenda and who doesn't.
I resonate with your point. I am not looking to “borrow trouble.” I will wait until the General Conference before making any moves.
The Unitarians would take anybody.
