“We are not electing someone for sainthood”

You’re clearly implying that President Trump would fall short.

Your virtuous discernment pleases Jesus.

If anything, people offended by this President, are ignorant or oblivious to history. If you go to the article by counseling psychologist Dr. Thurston and read through his listing of this president's deficiencies, quite a number of historical characters should come to mind.

Frankly, I don't care about this list of complaints. I have not evaluated the President personally (neither has he or the person he quotes) but I see no cause for alarm, much less concern.

If any of you have read Dr. Thurston's books I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Trump is St Andrew compared to most of them

Trump is Saint Andrew, the Dems are Prince Andrew.

Liberal elitism and bigotry on display. That they and they alone are smart, educated, moral, rational. And everyone else is stupid, crazy, ignorant, or evil.

This man isn’t Christian, because he elevates liberal social justice dogma over Christian dogma.

I would be more foolish if I was supporting Hillary or any one of the Dementiacrats running for the White House now.

There’s a saying about the thing that bothers you most about other people is the very thing that’s you’re biggest problem.

I suspect that the thing that ticks people off about Trump is that there’s something about him that reminds them of themselves that they don’t like.

Someone who so vehemently hates Trump ought to look in a mirror.

So Thurman thinks Trump is narcissistic, depraved, and even sociopathic? My God, the insanity of some people! This is beyond being overblown and overstated. It's sheer madness. Thurman has lost his mind. Who did he want elected? Hillary "Abort Them All" Clinton? Gee, Thurman, have you ever called that sick, evil woman depraved? Just a rhetorical question. I know you haven't.

I'm sick to death of these lunatics who push their leftist agendas by masquerading as pure-as-the-snow Christians who know so much more than the rest of us.

Which spirit do you see being manifested in Chris Thurnman in his attack on Christans?

Galatians 5:19-25 New International Version (NIV)

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

You will notice that in the entire diatribe by this priest of Molech Trump’s successes in shutting down the abortion industry are never mentioned, nor are Hillary’s actions in propping up that same brutal slaughter.

Gideon and Samson would have fallen short as well.
God does not use only saints.

I trust God to know how to run things better than I can, so I don’t expect only saints either.

A very long-winded way of asking the question: “Can a leader who is not a believer be a friend to religion?”

The answer is a resounding “Yes!” A fair number of the founding fathers were non believers, at least to a degree.

But they considered freedom of religion to be a proxy for freedom of thought, and therefore central to individual liberty itself.

Whatever religious tenants President Trump believes in or lives by are of little or no concern to me. What is important to me is whether he will resist big government’s proven tendency to expand its scope and presume to “govern” every aspect of our lives.

President Trump appears to be inclined to resist big government encroachment - and appoint judges who will uphold the constitutional limitations which were designed to protect individual freedoms - including religious freedom.

Certainly more so than any Democrat alternative!

Those who would vote only for a President who shares their particular faith are every bit as foolish as those who would vote according to skin color or gender. Freedom is what we need, not conformity.

By far, the surest way on Earth to protect freedom is by upholding the United States Constitution, and the best way to uphold the constitution is to appoint judges and justices who will uphold it.

Whatever they may think of President Trump’s faith, or lack thereof, people of faith would have to be insane to oppose President Trump.

I am under no illusions about Trump. He’s not a saint and never claimed to be and I wasn’t electing a pastor but a president. The NeverTrumpers think they are so righteous yet they supported Hillary who is the Queen of abortion and they are going to lecture Trump supporters, seriously .

No, against the standard of sainthood they fall short.

Now, before you go spewing your stupid shit about “support the president” shake the snot out of your brain housing group, and go find some people who haven’t supported the president to say that to.

I was for Cruz before the 2016 primaries and dumped him for Trump early on after Trump entered.

You don’t have to declare someone a pristine religious paragon to support their politics so can the pretentious posturing.
