Eventually companies will stop donating to causes, because somebody is going to be offended, and they’re just better off focusing on their core business.
They became emblematic of the culture war. They surrendered for no apparent reason. Were they just tired of leftist carping? Did they figure it's easier to surrender than to fight? It's just very disappointing.
Because they've always been very outspoken about their Christian identity, essentially using it as a marketing tool for conservative Christians.
