That's the part that doesn't make sense. IF you're not changing what you're doing why a press statement??
CFA is spinning right now.
They really need an office of political awareness staffed by a FR conservative to help them understand the Left.
It’s their money, and their donations or lack of donations to certain groups have no impact on the quality of their food.
They could give a billion dollars to the Salvation Army or give them nothing and the chicken sandwich still is yummy.
Ill believe that when Planned Parenthood stops giving millions to Democrats
All true, but it’s clearly an indicator of how badly people want some—any—form of leadership in the pushback against leftists and their endless fascism. Trump as well.
Yeah they’ve got one foot in the boat and one on the dock here. Trying to have their cake and eat it too. They’re scroooooood.
I think Dan Cathy may be engaging in some Clintonesque word parsing here. Telling Rev. Graham that Chick-Fil-A stands by Christian values, while the Chick-Fil-A FOUNDATION dumps the Salvation Army.
A simple question regarding this back pedaling...
Have they restored donations to the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes?
If not, they caved and remain caved.
It's not the reality that counts the most but rather the perception that makes all the difference. That's been the life of politics since time immortal. Chick-fil-A should have known this and if they didn't then they deserve all the push-back fallout they're going to get on this subject for this bonehead stunt.
I know that I for one will no longer be dining out there until they rectify their monumental grievous error in judgement. You just never ever give the enemy an inch as they'll then expect the whole enchilada. I suspect many others will have similar feelings.
“Because they’ve always been very outspoken about their Christian identity, essentially using it as a marketing tool for conservative Christians.”
Perhaps, but when I eat at Chick-fil-A there is no agreement Implicit or implied that part of the proceeds of the transaction will be donated to certain charitable organizations.
I give them money, the hand me a sandwich, the sandwich is mine, the money then belongs to them, and they can do whatever the wish with the money.
“Why are so many people trying to dictate how Chick-fil-A spends, or does nor spend its own money?”
What so many people are trying to decide is whether they should spend THEIR money there.
Right now Christians are being played for suckers. Values kept to yourself are not values. They are talking points. CFA is committed to words not deeds. We are seeing their real fruits.
Perception is everything in big business and politics.
The bulk of their growth has been from Christians supporting them. Now they caved to tranny tyranny while professing not to. View their commercials. This is not selling a sammich. This is selling values. They now have new values regardless of what they say.
They made a choice. Now the choice is yours.
Buy from them or not. Lots of other chicken
outlets to buy from.
The company revealed that it would no longer donate to the Salvation Army,
the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and other groups that have been
criticized for their stances on LGBTQ issues.
Instead, Chick-fil-A said it will only give to charities involved in
education, homelessness and hunger with $9 million assigned to each
grouping, according to Business Insider.
You cannot serve two masters.
Sorry Franklin. The proof is in the pudding. They’ve sanitized their giving from any overt Christian identification. That’s for a reason. This is a classic cave. And the expectation is that Christians and those of like mind will give another one in the culture war.
Fully agree.
First question for Rev. Graham is, who is in charge; Mr. Cathy or that greek dude who is throwing his weight around in favor of Sodom and Gomorrah? IMHO....CFA will never be right again as long as that genius is calling shots.
I’m willing to stand by Chick-fil-A on this, although I’m disappointed. The real problem is the black-eye the news gave to the Salvation Army, with the mainstream media portraying them as rabidly anti-LGBTQXYZR56TYU (or whatever they’re calling themselves these days). The Salvation Army does amazing work meeting the needs of people. When disaster strikes, they’re usually first on the ground with relief. And guess what? They’re a CHRISTIAN organization and believe in what the Bible says. If you’re upset with the Bible, I recommend you take it up with the author.
Only total and complete acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle - by everyone - will make the homosexual community happy.
yes it sucks that they abandoned these charities...bizarre. Salvation Army was sued in the past for standing up to English-speaking on the job.
That alone should warrant support
I guess if your feeling tough you can go get chicken sandwiches at Popeyes
