Kanye West has had several friends preach at his Sunday Service, but since he started making them public, one little-known pastor from Los Angeles has started catching the ear of many of those gathered -- but who is he?
Adam Tyson is the senior pastor of Placerita Bible Church, 30 miles northwest of LA, and for the past few months, he's been leading West in a Bible study before sharing the gospel with thousands at Sunday Service events in Detroit, New York City and, this past Saturday, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"Kanye started visiting our church back in mid-May," Tyson, who helped shape the "Jesus Is King" album, told Fox News. "He asked me to help him to learn more about God from the Bible so, I started a Bible study with him and others in Calabasas in August."
He added: "I would teach from God's Word about how salvation is only by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone."
After the "Jesus Walks" singer and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, bought a ranch in Cody, Wyo., West asked the pastor to continue the Bible study, so he flew up on Tuesday and back to LA on Wednesday.
"In addition to leading a Bible study, we have had lots of conversations about how to love God, love others, walk in holiness, as well as working on the new album 'Jesus is King,'" Tyson said.
During his Salt Lake City service, which drew 7,000 people, he preached about John 3:16 for about 15 minutes.

Santa Clarita, CA. The Masters College. Glad to see this man who is making a difference.
This District was represented by Katie Hill. Her election was always in question due to ballot harvesting.
I cannot fault his theology in that sentence;
by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solo Christo

Yup,
Interesting.
Let’s see more.
Ya know, I’ve never really understood that idea. My translation, with all due respect is: You merely have to believe our philosophy and you will have eternal salvation. That’s it. You don’t have to help anyone else in any way.
To me it sounds wrong.
BTW, I’m very glad for Kayne’s conversion. At least he’s a truth seeker, which counts a lot in my book, so to speak.
You don’t get a free pass out of jail for doing bad things,no matter your grace, or belief, or whatever. That’s just what I think.(Not in that camp, as delightful and easy as it sounds!)
I can’t remember what I wanted to say! Duh! My bad.
I guess the idea that it is “our” philosophy is one I would argue with. It is what Jesus said, He said most people wouldn’t like it, and He has been proven correct.
Most people think it is too easy, doesn’t give them credit for their self worth, don’t need any help, don’t want to believe in a hereafter, etc.
You are completely normal in your belief that it sounds wrong.
Scripture states
“To Them that perish
The Gospel is Foolishness.”
That is precisely why God paid our penalty on the cross, to offer you and me the ultimate pardon, with no strings attached.

I think what I find poignant...is how down to earth this pastor (and his style) is as well as Kanyes Gospel music inspirations. Taking it back to basics.
Los Angeles has a lot of churches way too focused on being cool and hipster in order to attract the wannabe-celebrity crowd. Its not that their doctrines are way off the mark or that people arent genuine...but its refreshing to see that one of the most cool celebrities of all saw it fit to get to know God in the presence of a very unpretentious, old-school Bible church.
