Hungary’s Orban: Good Relations with Russia Are a Necessity, Can Help Middle East Christians

BUDAPEST, Hungary - Hungary’s prime minster said Wednesday after hosting a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that good relations with Russia are a necessity because of his country’s geographical location.

Analysts see Prime Minister Viktor Orban as Putin’s closest ally in the European Union and Hungary has long advocated for the end of sanctions against Russia for actions in Ukraine, saying they hurt the Hungarian economy. Trade between Hungary and Russia increased in 2018 for the first time since sanctions were put in place.

“It’s a simple geographical fact: No country can change its address,” Orban said during a news conference with Putin about Hungary’s need to cooperate with Russia. “Every country is located where God created it. For Hungary, it means being in a Moscow-Berlin-Istanbul triangle.”

Orban mentioned Hungary’s membership in the European Union and NATO but said that it did “not rule out establishing political cooperation with Russia on certain issues.”

Orban said Hungary, which depends greatly on Russian gas and oil, was trying to cooperate with Russia on issues like preventing migration to Europe, stabilizing the Middle East and aiding Christian communities around the world.

Orban also said it was a priority for his country to join the TurkStream gas pipeline to increase supply routes to Hungary for Russian gas.

Keep in mind that shale gas and oil exists everywhere around the globe. Cooperation with Russia for pipelines isn’t evil, but becoming energy independent is preferable.

They need to hire some US fracking experts and pay them like royalty for a while.

Orban is in the middle of Europe.

He looks West and sees MILLIONS of fake ‘refugees’ setting up their own enclaves in countries like Germany, France, Sweden, and others, and raping the local women there at will (and of course rarely seeing any significant punishment). He also sees the locals totally into ‘alternative lifestyles’ that are getting more creepy by the day. He also sees those people to the West DEMANDING that Hungary (along with Poland, and other nearby countries) become the same hell-holes.

He looks East and Putin. Putin doesn’t tell him how to run his country, demand he load it up with people who hate the West, and protects kids from ‘alternative lifestyles’ so at least they have a chance to grow up first.

Of course you also have the recent history in that part of the world (the Cold War)...so if Hungary also keeps an wary eye on Putin, that’s also understandable.

After he was president, Nixon gave a great speech to the student union at Oxford, England. He spoke about how criticizing the Soviets outwardly (or any country for that matter) on how they treated their own citizens wasn’t the way to change things.

He spoke about how he never used the issue for politics, but behind the scenes would link some of the deals with the USSR to letting the Jews leave the USSR. And he was given a hard time for not using the press and calling for more freedom for the Jews. But he said that was the USSR’s internal affairs, and lambasting their leaders would just make them look weak and harden their resolve to let the Jews leave.

Then he recited the numbers of Jews that were allowed to leave the USSR - both before and after he was in office. It was pretty amazing the contrast. Something like a hundred Jews before and after, and thousands (tens of thousand??) each year that Nixon was doing things.

Most conservatives realize it’s time to leave NATO and distance ourselves from the depraved, degenerate European “democracies” and their decadent ways.

It’s time to embrace the allies of the future. Chief among our future allies is Israel, followed by Russia and emerging states like Brazil, Myanmar, Belarus and yes, North Korea.

Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, etc. are lost. They killed themselves with “fairness” and political correctness. Thank God Trump came along. Trump and Putin are saving what’s left of the Christian way of life.

Yes, in the past, Hungary was always caught between East and West....mostly on the losing side.

Orban is smart to keep relations with both on relatively good terms. That is what is best for the Hungarian people right now.

I’d probably give North Korea a pass on that list, but I generally agree. We also need to work out something with China. The two parts of the world I’d leave to themselves to enjoy each other are decadent West countries and the Islamic countries. Since the decadent countries seem to be in such a hurry to essentially ‘merge’ with the Islamic countries, let them have all the fun that results from doing that.
