Maybe the Millennial LDS women are wearing Holy Thongs instead of Holy Grandma Panties?

IMHO, research can and often is manipulated to say what ever the writer wants said. Just sayin.......

Ask a recent convert or 20-30 year-old mormon about Kolob, Joseph Smith, Brigham Young’s wives and you’ll get a blank stare. The church is running as fast as it can away from from the weird stuff. It ain’t part of the sales pitch.

Jana Riess, 49, is a popular LDS blogger

Ah, a Blogger.

You DO know that a Blogger is someone who identifies as a "writer" yet can't get hired?

There was a Facebook ad today offering a copy of the Book of Mormon in Spanish. Oh, they sent that to the wrong person because I posted a comment before stopping ads from them.

Mormon doctrine is malleable and fungible, changing as rapid as the menu at Taco Bell. This is especially true among the many separate off shoots.

RE: Mormon doctrine is malleable and fungible, changing as rapid as the menu at Taco Bell.

Well, if this is so, and to the extent that DOCTRINE is defined as: “a codification of beliefs or a body of teachings or instructions, taught principles or positions, as the essence of teachings in a given branch of knowledge or in a belief system.”

In what sense is Mormon doctrine, really doctrine?

That’s why it is important to look at the CONTENT of the research. It could also be that the research is REALLY telling us what is.

Not sure if that is necessarily a bad thing.

Is it better to be a blogger who tries to be objective or someone who gets hired as a “researcher” by CNN or MSNBC?

They may be good guys (I doubt that of Flake, Romney, and Reid) but Mormonism is a cult regardless of ‘changes’. It is a fraudulent wannabe of Christianity.

Sen. Mike Lee looks like a good Mormon.

Good point, what is enduring are the cult methods used to control the flock

What if I'm a total nutcase dumbass with a blog?
Am I still better than folks that actually have jobs?

The problem with letting everyone in is that sometimes
you get nutcase dumbasses pretending to be ALL THAT.

And they aren't.

Mormonism is a cult.

Unfortunately, made in America.

No you’re not. But how does the above statement make the blogger in question a nutcase dumbass?

The best answer to that is to look at the CONTENT of the person’s research critically to find out, not simply make a generalized statement about his/her being hired by some big media company or not.

Yes Mike Lee is a good Mormon. Wants to flood the country with Tech workers from India after an agreement with the Indian government that they let in more Mormon missionaries. He is a “real good Mormon.”

Sorry, not convinced. Take the science of “Global Warming” for an example. I used to work for the US Department of Justice Bureau of Statistics. It all depends on the agenda of the writer. Just sayin...

Would you fly in a jet flown by someone who simply declared themselves a pilot?

Or might you expect a bit more?
