The majority of our youth63 percentare believers, commented the head of the Дepartment for External Church Relations, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, citing a VTSIOM survey, according to which only 37% of young Russians aged 18-24 consider themselves unbelievers, reports Foma.
Its another question how they believe? There are young people who are churched. There are young people who are seeking, who consider themselves believers but havent yet decided which religious community they should join, Metropolitan Hilarion said.
According to the survey, only 16% of 24 to 34-year-old respondents consider themselves unbelievers.
The percentage of believers increases with agethis is also a natural process, because coming to faith is very often associated with some kind of life experience, sometimes with a crisis, for example, the loss of loved ones, or with a difficult situation in the family, or health problems. The person begins to think about serious things, about the meaning of life and comes to faith, His Eminence said.
In this regard, His Eminence wisely instructed that believers, both clergy and laity, must work more with young people.
The most effective way to work with youth is when young people themselves work with them, when young people meet and communicate, both with believers and unbelievers. I have seen how the conversion of young people to the faith takes place, when they are brought by their peers to church, he commented.

Our foster daughter and her husband live in Belarus. They are orthodox. It sounds like everyone they know is, but none of them go to church often, mostly around the holidays. Easter seems to be the biggest. There is a high level of morality there.
What do they think of Lukashenko?
Not much, even when they visit they watch what they say. The people over there love Trump.
(((Sigh.)))
Now we gotta pray--- hard --- for the Conversion of the USA.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe thatand shudder. James 2:19
The demons believe out of direct knowledge, and fear their destiny when they next meet Him.
The young Russian humans believe out of hope, and desire to meet Him here so that they don't have to fear meeting Him there.
Maybe the Russians and the sub-Sahara Africans will send missionaries to America and Western Europe and convert the morons who have allowed themselves to become afflicted by Western Decadence.
Nothing could save the world from the nightmare looming on the horizon--and the mass insanity of half the Western World--like Jesus Christ.
When roughly half of America, including her news media, academia, and much of her intelligentsia, abets the morally destitute Democrat Party--the party of communism, infanticide, coup d'état, illegal immigration, voter fraud, government corruption, satanism, witchcraft, crime, sexual perversion, dug abuse, hate, and a host of other evils--America is ripe for conversion to the sacred.
I’m not surprised. When those who hunger for the word of God finally hear, especially coming out from under the heel of the Godless they want more of it. Our youth are spiritually dying from the decadence of this hedonistic culture.
“Atheists don’t believe in God. But the Devil does’’.- Bishop Fulton J. Sheen.
I have long suspected that most atheists actually know of God’s existence, they just wish he wasn’t real.
I have heard the same from one Pentacostal minister. On the outside, with an intellectual facade, saying there is no God. On the inside, shaking the fist towards Heaven, rebelliously yelling No, God!
We have a lot more in common with most Russians than we have with the thugs in antifa... (spoiled loser offspring of liberal ‘elites’)..
Amen and second it.
....Until they are in that “foxhole”,called “hardship”,be it terminal illness, financial hardship, bereavement, etc.
“What do they think of Lukashenko?”
They have two choices...they can like him a whole lot, or they can love him!!! /s;)
