Let him stay at his old parish. The new one doesnt deserve him
Heck don’t even assign a priest to the new parish. They don’t need one. Let the protesters run the place and send a visiting priest to say mass on Sunday.

Why do they even care?

Apparently, they don’t believe in sin. They seem to be of the ‘If it feels good do it’ philosophy.

What they are worried about is that their children might learn the reality of sin and final reward of sin which is eternal damnation and torment in hell.

Homosexuality is a mortal sin which bares the final condemnation of God to the pit of hell. The father knows this and wishes to save the souls of those in his parish from that fate.

That is not hate but love.

No, they don't - but they need him. They need to either embrace what the Church teaches or leave it; maybe Fr. Erik will bring them to make their choices.
